Choosing a Lovebird
IS A LOVEBIRD THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU?
Lovebirds, like most other birds/parrots can become quite noisy at times and are likely to live in the excess of 10-15+ years. They will require your regular daily care and attention if you are to give your lovebird/s the life they desire and deserve.
IS A SINGLE LOVEBIRD THE RIGHT OR WRONG CHOICE?
It would be extremely cruel to keep a single lovebird and leave it alone for most of the day, however if you are home most of the day, then lovebirds can live quite happily alone providing you can make up for the lack of attention the lovebird would normally receive from its partner.
So, after reading this you are still considering keeping a single lovebird, then you must think about this very carefully. This is a long-term commitment on your part and the bond from a single lovebird can become quite intense. Think hard as to whether you can commit your time and devotion, and continue this through for many many years ahead.
