The Lovebird Diet
The diet that a lovebird receives is often difficult to balance unless fed on a complete feed. I always feed my lovebirds on ZuPreem, this is a well balanced complete feed that is tailor made for keeping lovebirds in tip-top condition. As the saying goes, 'you are what you eat'. You can always spot a lovebird that is lacking in important vitamins and minerals that keep them in supreme condition.
Other good complete pellet feeds are:
- Harrisons
- Kaytee
- Roudybush
- Lafeber
MY METHOD OF FEEDING THE ZUPREEM DIET
I mix together 80% natural (uncoloured pellets), 10% Avian Entrees (this has lots of dried fruit & veg added) with 7% of the coloured fruity pellets plus 3% hemp seed for variation and colour, my birds love it this way.
